I was 6 years old when this movie came out in 1983, and I have seen it every year since it came out. When you see Wal Mart selling vintage Daisy Red Rider Carbine action BB guns in 2011, you know the movie has had an impact.

This movie takes me back to what it must have been like living during the 1940's. Do you know that most of the classic Christmas songs all came out during the 1940's. I have always wondered if that was because people were just looking for peace and hope in their lives considering all the things that happened during World War II.

With that being said, my favorite scene in a Christmas story is at the very end, right after they learn about Chinese turkey. It shows the parents sipping wine while watching the snow fall out their front window. The narrator ends by saying it was a Christmas he would never forget, and "All was right with the world." Yes, indeed.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18421605987086278458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151794078290696606.post-43963105176493452542011-12-09T22:29:20.492-05:002011-12-09T22:29:20.492-05:00I love ELF!
