Amy, thank you for your blog. I get lots of information that is helpful. I wanted to ask why you don't buy more generic products. They're cheaper aren't they? Just wondering.
Thanks,
Becky
I do buy generics very often! In most cases they are the same as the brand. But with couponing when you pair a sale with a coupon in most cases the brand name will be cheaper than the generic. There's only a couple of things that I will not use that are generic. I personally can taste the difference between generic instant oatmeal and Quaker instant oatmeal. I'm also not fond of generic diet soda - I love my Pepsi Max and haven't found a generic that even comes close. Other than these two items it's all game. If I have a coupon for a brand name item and the generic is still cheaper I would gladly go with the generic!
Tip: When checking out medications always compare the "Active Ingredients" listed. If they are the same as brand and it's cheaper go with the generic!
