Some sites offer points in exchange for doing surveys, daily clicks and such. I know that when you reach that threshold it's easy to just cash out, but usually if you hold onto your points you get a better point/dollar ratio. For instance, I'm saving my points on MyPoints to get a gift card to The Children's Place. Right now, I have 4,547 points available to spend and could cash out for a $25 gift card for 3,450 points. However, for just 6,450 points I can get a $50 gift card. I'm holding out which saves me 450 points.
Another example is with MySurvey. For 1,150 points you can get a $10 check, but if you wait and get a $100 check for 10,150 points you save 1,350 points. That's like saving more than $10.
