Summer Fun!

Sorry for the lack of posting today, but we took the kiddos crabbing. And although we only caught one crab that was legally sized, we had a blast. We also made a new "friend." It's an interesting story...I was just standing there in the marsh when I felt a light tap on my leg. I thought I had just brushed against some weeds or something until I felt it again. I looked down to see a baby raccoon! Even though he was absolutely adorable I was terrified. I know that raccoons are primarily nocturnal and they usually only come out during the day when they are sick. All I could see was this creature gnawing on my leg and me ending up in the hospital with rabies! I screamed for my hubby which came running. The little guy just stood there looking at me. I think he smelled our chicken and was hungry. Apparently people had been feeding him and he came to me looking for some food. He didn't seem angry or agitated. So we just slowly walked away. He followed. The little guy stayed by us the whole time watching our every move. Oh, how I wanted to take him home with me! I LOVE animals. We left him there, though. Not only is it illegal to keep him, but my hubby protested saying "Come on, baby. Not ANOTHER animal!" I know this has nothing to do with couponing or saving money, but I just wanted to share. :o)  I hope everyone else had a great day!
