New Giveaway and Great Recipes!

I'm starting off this morning with a new Giveaway and some yummy recipes!  The wonderful people from The Incredible Edible Egg have come up with some great recipes to start the kiddos off right this school year.

"The importance of a protein breakfast can't be underestimated - along with feeling fuller longer, research shows that the benefits of breakfast include improved memory recall time, improved grades and higher test scores," says Elizabeth Ward, M.S., R.D., nutrition consultant and author of Expect the Best: Your Guide to Healthy Eating Before, During and After Pregnancy. "Compared to sugary cereals and processed foods, eggs are all-natural and provide one of the highest-quality proteins of any food available. At less than 15 cents apiece, eggs are one of the most affordable sources of high-quality protein for just 70 calories, making them a great choice to start the day."

While parents recognize the importance of protein at breakfast, many don't prepare dishes like eggs for their children during the week. Seventy-six percent of moms cited lack of time as the main factor prohibiting them from making eggs for breakfast on weekdays.

The Coffee Cup Scramble can be made in one minute flat! What a quick and nutritious breakfast!

I, unfortunately, am not a morning person and it takes me a good hour to fully wake up and get moving.  They also have great recipes that allow you to make it ahead so you won't have to worry about it in the morning!
Basic Hard Cooked Eggs can be made the night before so no running around in the morning.  The Mini Italian Breakfast Casseroles also look mighty tasty and can be made ahead of time - saving precious time in the morning.

My favorite recipe would have to be the Bacon and Egg Breakfast Grilled Cheese.  I know that everyone in my house would enjoy that and it's quick and easy!

And to thank you for checking out their great new recipes the great folks at The Incredible Edible Egg is giving one of my readers a FREE Microwave Egg Cooking Cup!

  2. Eggs are my families favorite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had eggs for dinner last night. I have never tried microwave cup before and I think it would be a lot of FUN to try. I have a 2 years grand-daughter that thinks eggs are the only thing you eat for breakfast so this cup could make life a little easier. lol Thanks for the opportunity!! Sweeneysrus at msn dot com
