I started this blog a year and 4 months ago. My mission of this blog was to share on the many ways to save money. To be honest I was getting tired of calling my friends and family up saying "Hey! Head over to Target before Sunday - they have Dove deodorant for $2.54 and you can get it for only $.54 after using these two coupons!" I decided this would be a great way to get it out to everyone without me going hoarse.
My coupon high fueled this blog. I love a great deal and I LOVE sharing a great deal even more. I honestly had no idea where it would go and how long I would do it. There have been times when I got up and said to myself "I think I'll just quit this blogging business and focus on other aspects of my life." And just when I was about to quit I would get an email from a reader telling me how they appreciate my blog and how I am really helping them save money. That has kept me going on this crazy blogging road.
I got an email yesterday from a fellow blogger that said that I was "copying" her deals. Really? What are we in 5th grade? Come on! Do you really think that the same business that sent you the email with a coupon code didn't send it out to like say ummm...every other customer in the world? Are you the only customer that they have? Don't be silly. I get hundreds of emails a day and have even tapped out my email limits when I haven't checked it for a day. I sign up for every single e-club out there so that I can get the deals to pass to my readers. Between taking care of 3 kiddos, working on a book and all the other stuff I do in life I don't have the time to stalk other people's blogs looking for deals. I get all my deals out of my inbox and what I don't get from there comes from my readers who pass along info to me.
And I have this to say to my fellow bloggers. If I have something on my blog that you would like to pass along to your readers by all means use it! That is, after all, the reason I started this blog. And if I can pass along some content that saves someone money (even if I don't know about it) I am good with that. :o)
Now to the re-evaluation business...I will also be posting about the more serious parts of my frugal life. Hopefully, I will soon have a nifty new camera and can include some great new pics as well. There is more to a frugal life than just grocery store deals. I will still bring you the deals. I'll just be bringing you the meat and potatoes type of Frugal Living.
Who cares if it is copied or not copied, really? It is just useful information that one person is sharing with another. I for one LOVE your blog. I come to your page daily and enjoy all the tips that you are passing along! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to help others!!
