New Year's Resolutions

I got this email from a reader:

Hello, Amy.  I read your blog almost everyday and really like it.  I wish you would post more pictures of you and your family though.  I'm writing you to ask if you made any New Year Resolutions.  I'm not trying to get into your business.  I'm just curious.  I have a fascination with learning everyone's resolutions.  You can just ignore me if you don't want to tell me.  That would be fine.  I'm just nosey.

Thanks
Rebecca B.

I don't mind giving out my resolutions at all.  I just thought most of my readers wouldn't care.  But be warned I have a long list.  I'm glad you asked.  Now I can put them on here and be more accountable to reach my goals!  I try to make my resolutions attainable...my bucket list, however, is kind of crazy!

Oh, and you can check out my other blog Lovin' This Crazy Thing Called Life for more pics of me and my family.  I made that new blog just for that purpose.

Amy's 2011 New Year's Resolutions:

- Finish my book - And to answer the questions I know I will get - It has nothing at all to do with saving money or couponing.

- Complete the whole P90X program - I borrowed the program from my brother in law and need to get more fit.  Back in the day I worked out at the gym at my work 3-4 days a week and was really healthy. Well, when you have 3 kiddos making it to the gym is kinda tough.  But this program allows me to work out at home and still get in a good sweat.

- Organize my paperwork better (yeah, a shocker huh?  lol)

- Get rid of stuff that I know I'll never use (cleaning out my stockpile) - When you get stuff for free or cheap you accumulate a lot of things that you don't really need or use because "Hey!  It's free!"  I just need to let it all go and donate it.

- Find more ways to make extra cash - Staying at home with my little ones is some kind of awesome, but I'm not contributing much to my retirement fund.  So, I'm working on finding more ways to do that.  Hence, my new T-shirt shop Amy's Expressions

- Save even more money than I did last year!

- Start drawing again.  I used to draw a lot, but then life happened and I kind of just let it go.

- Take a couple of photography classes.

- Make up my mind if I ever want to finish Grad School...I'm teetering on this one.  Will it really be worth the money and effort?  There's not a whole lot of Biology jobs available in this area and the economy is seriously sucky right now.

- Get over my fear of spiders.  It's not a crippling fear, but I do get a little nonfunctional if I saw a spider and can't find it.  I have this crazy fear that it will sneak up on me or drop on my head.  Hey, I've said a million times that we've all got issues of some sort. ;o)

- Make a bigger veggie garden this year and put a fence around it.  We live out in the sticks and the rabbits like to gobble up our veggies so a fence would help with that.

- Try a new hair color...should be interesting. (Don't worry it won't be purple...maybe pink? hehehe just kidding.)

- I will attempt all surveys sent to me.

- Pay off more debt - right now we're tackling our student loans.

- Practice my Spanish at least twice a week.  I used to speak Spanish very well, but the saying "If you don't use it, you lose it" is true.  When I make it to the Amazon this girl is gonna be fluent!

- Drink more water and less Pepsi Max - I already bought a refill pack of filters for my Brita pitcher.

Publix Trip 5-1-26

It's nearing the end of the school year, so work was nuts this week. I didn't get to Publix until late Friday, and so many things on...
